America’s infrastructure deficit is not a technical problem. It is a political and public affairs problem. Essential projects — data centers, energy systems, transmission lines, logistics networks — are increasingly stopped or delayed not because they lack merit, but because opposition is organized, sophisticated, and well-funded. CIA exists to change that. We do it through independent research, public advocacy, and direct community engagement — funded entirely by contributions from organizations and individuals who share that mission.
CIA accepts general contributions from corporations, trade associations, and individuals. Contributions support CIA’s overall mission and operating capacity — research, advocacy, lobbying, public education, and community engagement across the infrastructure sectors CIA covers. Contributions are not earmarked for specific projects or developments. CIA determines its own research agenda, advocacy priorities, and engagement activities based on its assessment of the public interest — not on the direction of individual donors. As a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization, contributions to CIA are not tax-deductible.
Organizations that want to deepen their support for CIA’s mission can sponsor specific CIA programs and publications.
Current sponsorship opportunities include:
Research publications and policy briefs
Issue-focused advocacy campaigns on infrastructure sectors
Public events and community forums
Polling and public opinion research initiatives
Sponsorship does not direct CIA’s positions or editorial content. Sponsors support CIA’s work — CIA determines how that work is conducted and what conclusions it reaches.
